A Naturally Disastrous Week

I survived both an earthquake and a hurricane this week.  Pretty big week.  Except I didn't really experience either one.  I was walking outside during the earthquake and didn't feel it at all.  In fact, I thought people were joking when I made it back to the office and everyone was talking about it.

Hurricane Irene wasn't really too bad either.  Most of the strong rain and wind was during the night when I was asleep.  I think the worst part of this storm is that they closed down all public transportation very early and it is still not back up, so nobody can get anywhere and everything has to be closed.  We've probably had worse storms on regular days, but the MTA being down has created a crisis of its own.  I call this an "MTA induced crisis."

Well, better safe than sorry.  That's a lot of natural disaster for one week.

I know a lot of prayers were aqround you....Just to keep you safe. We don't want to think of what could have been.
